I like how everything is round except for the trip-odo reset.

Are these the SE-R gauges?

I learned to drive stick on those gauges!
It was the family truck, a 1990 Chevy that didn’t come equipped with a tachometer. After my father showed me how to run through the gears, I spent the next few months getting acquainted with it on my own.
I soon became familiar with this shift light, which I thought was an important warning light. So I started to anticipate when it would come on. I didn’t have a lead foot, so this light taught me that I needed to shift into 3rd at 15 mph, 4th at 25 mph, and 5th at 35 mph.
No wonder the truck felt slow.

This brings me back. Summer of ‘08 I was working as a park ranger and one of our trucks was a beat to hell ‘91 S-10. Half the paint was gone, the windshield was cracked and sometimes the door would swing open on turns, but I loved driving that thing just to see that speedo bar move.

Which gauge is best gauge?

I can only imagine now how dated the current crop of “digital” gauge clusters is going to look in 20 years time.

Are you implying these gauges are anything but the most timeless amazing things your eyes have ever beheld?
egads

I once had an early 90's K2500 assigned to me as a work truck with that gauge cluster. It was horrible to look at, and the digital A/C controls were not much better.

I sooo want to reinvent that cluster and retrofit it into newer cars; what car does this cluster belong to?

89-90 chevy trucks I believe.

I think the GMC s15 has that cluster as well
